A new COVID variant, JN.1, is currently the most prevalent strain in the United States and U.K. More than 44% of the virus cases in the U.S. are of the new variant, with more expected as it expands across the world. Furthermore, the surge of the new COVID strain suggests it’s either more transmissible or better at evading our immune systems than others.
“What We’ve Learned Treating 4,000 Patients With Long COVID-19”, Northwestern Medicine physicians identified this growing trend and established the Northwestern Medicine Comprehensive COVID-19 Center, one of the first centers in the United States dedicated to treating patients with lingering impacts of the virus.
