Free food boxes will be given away on Friday, Aug. 14 and Saturday, Aug. 15 at the access to ShoWare Center back parking lot, 625 W. James St.

Boxes weigh over 25 pounds and contain an assortment of fresh food such as oranges, kale, apples, lettuce, carrots, potatoes, cabbage, nectarines and cucumbers.

AUGUST 14th, 2020 10am to 1pm
Seniors and health-compromised are eligible for the Aug. 14 giveaway that runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

AUGUST 15th, 2020 9am to 12pm
The general public can show up for the Aug. 15 event from 9 a.m. to noon.

Hosted by Kent Community Partners, it is an all volunteer event with help from nonprofits and faith groups in the Kent area and in cooperation with Cascadia Produce, Mosby Farms, the city of Kent and Kent Community Foundation.
